Eddie V's Prime Seafood Troy

Just had dinner at Eddie V's for our 1year wedding anniversary. Had a 7pm reservation, was seated promptly by the hostess to a table that had a "Happy Anniversary" card on the table signed by Eddie V's(Nice Touch). The ambiance was amazing adults enjoying food and drinks, appropriately lighted for this type of dining. Then we meet our waiter...RICHARD M. This guy is without a shadow of a doubt the most engaging, knowledgeable, and dynamic waiter I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. Richard is a 5 star rating by himself. Richard went thru what our journey would be through the evening and what his recommendations were, what his favorites were, even the cook times of the steak, based on size. He gave a Oscar worthy performance with a delivery of the menu like you have never seen. He could have serving "gas station taquitos" and I would have ordered it twice. RICHARD M. is "The Charismatic Enigma of fine dining"! I had the 8oz bacon wrapped filet, my wife had the sea bass, we added some of the crab fried rice and the mac and cheese. I order my filet cooked medium(as Im not really a steak eater but I try), I digress. We ordered as an appetizer the crab cake, which was magically delicious and also 2 of their 24k cocktails, tasty and went down fast. Dinner was served and everything is cooked to perfection, filet was spot on..Look at me..SPOT ON! Sea Bass, light and flakey. Mac and cheese was a touch salty to me but my wife LOVED it, Crab fried rice was okay. I couldn't get this food to my mouth fast enough as my stomach was waiting for me to chew, swallow, and lets get this going. We wrapped up with a complimentary Bananas Foster from our waiter Richard(Didn't I tell you he was fantastic), Heather and I are Bananas Foster connoisseurs, this had presentation, taste, warmth and served like only a dessert like this should be. Parking was well lighted and there was a valet option, or park it yourself. Make a reservation, use the open table app, super fast and easy! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves, if you ever have the chance to go out for a fine dining experience go here, ask for Richard M. I'd go as far and say if you cant have Richard M as your waiter, then ask for a manager, to get you Richard ASAP. Then you can enjoy the drinks, food, and dessert the way you should. There is no price for an experience like this!

I have complained for years that people don't know how to get dressed up and go to dinner anymore... At Eddie V's, I felt like I was in a swanky New York club. Beautiful atmosphere, awesome food, very professional and courteous wait staff - just a great experience overall. The prices are steep, so it's not a place I could go often, but if you're looking for a really special dinner club experience, this is the place!
